SFI has condemned the massive irregularities and corruption in NEET

Students Federation of India (SFI) Himachal Pradesh State Committee has condemned the massive irregularities and corruption in conducting competitive examinations under the Modi regime. The issue of NEET scam has not yet been resolved that the matter of UGC-NET examination has come to the fore, it is worth noting that both the exams are conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). More than 9 lakh students have appeared in this examination being conducted by NTA on 18 June 2024 at 1205 examination centers.

Despite the scorching heat, the youth of the country and the state came from their far-flung villages and spent thousands of rupees to appear for this exam, but after giving the exam with so much preparation and hard work, they came to know that the exam has been cancelled due to huge rigging, which increases their disappointment. Cancelling the exam is not fair to the lakhs of youth of the country.

SFI said that it seems that in the Modi government, agencies like NTA have become a means of earning money by unfair means for BJP and RSS and this government is constantly playing with the future of the youth of the country. On one hand, recruitments are not being done for 30-35 lakh vacant posts in various departments and on the other hand, in many examinations including NEET and UGC, conducted by the bodies formed by the Modi government, rigging is at its peak.

SFI said that the rigging in this UGC NET exam can be easily guessed. In Himachal Pradesh too, there were many examination centres for conducting this exam and for its fair conduct, observers were appointed in which most of the teachers who supported the ideology of BJP and RSS were appointed and they also included the most junior teachers and those teachers who were appointed during the BJP rule.

This was done through the back door, ignoring the UGC rules.

NTA should have some seniority criteria for appointing observers in such exams. There are teachers who openly participate in meetings and programs of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, the student wing of BJP and RSS, who were appointed observers by NTA in many centers of Himachal Pradesh. How can such people be expected to be neutral and spotless for such appointments. Many teachers who were appointed as observers by NTA in this exam have many cases pending in the honourable courts against their own appointments. What kind of people does NTA appoint to conduct these exams and on what basis does it appoint them is a big question.

The SFI alleged that the Modi government has appointed ineligible people to several top and responsible educational bodies and such appointments are characterised by corruption and irregularities.

SFI demands that the corrupt organization like NTA should be dissolved and the Education Minister of Government of India should resign on moral grounds and this scam should be investigated independently under a sitting Judge of the Honorable Supreme Court.

SFI will protest against these irregularities in the entire state.
