Seven day NSS camp starts at Degree College Chail Koti
A seven-day special camp under the National Service Scheme (NSS) began on Saturday at Government College, Chail Koti. Twenty-five volunteers are actively participating. Principal Dr. Deepshikha Bhardwaj inaugurated the camp by lighting a lamp.
In his address, the Principal stated that NSS is a platform that, along with education, provides students with practical knowledge about social issues, instilling in them a sense of social service, competition, and patriotism, which proves useful in achieving their life goals. He added that NSS is a powerful medium for connecting students with society, and such camps play a vital role in the overall development of students.
Program Officer Dr. Sushil Mehta provided detailed information about the various activities planned during the seven-day camp. He explained that this year, Tipper village has been adopted as part of the camp, where volunteers will work with the rural community to conduct cleanliness drives, create awareness about cleanliness, and other social work. The camp will include activities related to cleanliness drives, awareness programs, volunteer work, yoga, personality development, and social service, all aimed at developing a spirit of service and social responsibility among students.
