Seven-day NSS camp concludes in Junga
The special NSS camp, which had been running for the past week at the Government Senior Secondary School, Junga, concluded successfully on Friday. Thirty-one volunteers participated enthusiastically. Dr. Devendra Kashyap, retired Assistant Director of the Education Department, attended the event as the chief guest.
In his address, he stated that the NSS is a platform that provides children with practical knowledge about social issues, along with education, ensuring their all-round development. He urged NSS volunteers to use the knowledge gained during this camp for social service in their villages.
Principal Mahesh Sharma honored the chief guest with a memento. He urged the volunteers to incorporate the qualities they learned at the camp, such as discipline, unity, leadership, team spirit, and community harmony, into their lives.
Program Officer Sangeeta Hansreta presented a report on the activities conducted over seven days. She explained that during the camp, activities such as cleanliness drives, conservation of natural water sources, environmental and health awareness, and cybersecurity awareness were carried out in the adopted village of Meeh and other surrounding areas.
On this occasion, volunteers enthralled the audience with a colorful cultural program. Volunteers shared their experiences during the seven days spent at the camp. Program Officer Prem Sharma thanked all the dignitaries who attended the event.
