Seven-day NSS camp concludes in Balg

The NSS camp, which had been running for the past week at the Government Senior Secondary School, Balg, concluded on Sunday. Social worker and businessman Sohan Lal Pandey attended the event as the chief guest, while the school’s Principal, Ramesh Chand Sharma, presided over the event.
While welcoming the chief guest, the Principal said that the objective of the seven-day NSS camp is to develop selfless spirit of sacrifice, restraint, dedication and service among the volunteers.
Giving details of the seven-day camp, program officers Dr. Banita Rani and Aman Sharwan said that during the camp, temples in and around the adopted village of Nannu were cleaned, along with the school campus, PHC Balg, and village roads. The camp included various sessions to raise awareness on national and relevant topics. During the intellectual sessions, volunteers gathered information on drug de-addiction, disaster management, wildlife conservation, first aid, National Service Scheme activities, nutritious and balanced diets, and various career options.
In the program, the volunteers enthralled everyone by presenting cultural programs.
All the teachers and non-teaching staff including Jyoti Sharma, Surendra Thakur, Sohan Lal, Reena Devi were present in the program.
