Sanjivani A Group of NGOs to organise Chitte Par Chot Workshop

Under the campaign “Chitte Par Chot”, Sanjivani (A Group of NGOs) organized a protest at Shimla on 7 Dec 2025.To be held at the Willows Bank Hotel, The Mall, Shimla, this “state-level workshop” will be inaugurated by His Excellency the Governor of the state, Shri Shiv Pratap Shukla. Following the inauguration, two technical sessions will be held, in which experts will provide guidance on the scientific, social, and practical aspects of drug de-addiction. Following these two sessions, the outline of upcoming programs will be finalized.The main objective of this campaign is to spread awareness about the growing drug addiction trend among youth, students, parents, and other sections of society through educational institutions in various districts of the state. For a long time, the Sanjivani organization has been continuously running a public awareness campaign for drug eradication with the support of schools, women’s groups, and youth groups.

Approximately 150 representatives from 17 voluntary organizations across the state are expected to participate in this proposed state-level workshop. Expert speakers will discuss the ill effects of drug addiction, particularly its impact on students, and effective de-addiction measures.
