Sakshi Sharma Hamirpur girl to lead Himachal team in the All India Women Kabaddi Championship

Sakshi Sharma, a young girl of Maharal gram panchayat of Badsar revenue sub division of Hamirpur will lead the state team in the All India Women Kabaddi championship scheduled to be held at Kurukshetra (Haryana) from March 22nd to March 26th.

Sakshi has always been interested in sports since her childhood and is presently doing her BA from a local private College, Gautam Girls College. She also gets training at a local academy and has taken part in many state level and other tournaments.

Sakshi’s father Pradeep Kumar said that his daughter was going to lead the team in the senior women’s kabaddi competition to be held in Haryana. He was proud of the feat of his daughter and hoped that Sakshi would represent the National team in the World level championships in the coming times.

All the villagers are proud of Sakshi’s achievement. She has brought name and fame not only to her, her parents but also to the region from where she belongs, said Inder Dutt Lakhanpal, MLA Badsar assembly constituency.
