Riya got first place in speech and Priyanka in painting

On the occasion of 55th Himachal Rajtva Diwas and National Voters’ Day, along with remembering the immortal martyrs, the personality and deeds of the first Chief Minister Yashwant Singh Parmar were remembered in Government Senior Secondary School, Dadgi and the children were also informed about the importance of voting rights. On this occasion, speech, painting competition and cultural programs were organized. National Service Scheme volunteers hoisted the tricolor by doing a parade (march past) under the leadership of Parade Commander 12th class Pooja Thakur. Students expressed their views on ‘We will cast our votes, strong democracy, everyone’s participation’ and the development journey of Himachal Pradesh. In which 10+1 class student Riya Kanwar came first, 12th class student Muskan Thakur came second and Tarun Thakur of the same class came third. In the painting competition, 12th class student Priyanka came first and 10+1 class student Bhavna came second. Sania Verma and Sneha recited poems on the natural beauty of Himachal. 12th class students Neha and Heena enthralled the audience by singing patriotic songs. The school’s principal Rajendra Verma congratulated all the students as well as teachers and other non-teaching staff on the occasion of full statehood day and expressed his views on Himachal’s development journey after independence and the need for voting. On this occasion, National Service Scheme in-charge Dharm Prakash Verma and most of the teachers and non-teaching staff were present. The stage was conducted by Hindi spokesperson Vijay Pant.
