Ritu Negi of Sirmaur being congratulated on winning a gold medal in Asian Games Women’s Kabaddi

Indian Kabaddi team captain and Sirmaur’s daughter Ritu Negi has been getting congratulations on winning the gold medal for India during the 19th Asian Games. The promising daughter of Sirmaur, by becoming the captain of the Indian Kabaddi team and winning the gold medal for the nation, has raised the head of the entire Sirmaur and has also boosted the morale of the young generation of this backward area.

Indian players have created history in the Asian Games. With 25 gold medals, India has hit a century in the medal tally. India has so far won 100 medals with 25 gold, 35 silver and 40 bronze medals. Under the captaincy of Sirmaur’s daughter Ritu Negi, the Indian women’s Kabaddi team won the gold medal by defeating host Chinese Taipei in the final match. There is an atmosphere of happiness in the entire state including Shillai and Sirmaur areas on the success of Ritu Negi. It is noteworthy that Ritu Negi was selected for Bilaspur Sports Hostel in 2006 and has been playing for Himachal and India since 2009. Also in 2011, she was the captain of the Indian Junior Women’s Kabaddi team and led Team India in the Under 20 Kabaddi competition in Malaysia. Playing an important role in the South Asian Games in the year 2019, Ritu Negi won the gold medal for the Indian team.

Now Ritu Negi has put the name of Sirmaur district on the world map by becoming the leader of the Indian Kabaddi team and winning the gold medal.
