Resolution moves to authorize AICC supremo to elect new party chief

Himachal Pradesh Congress committee members authorized the All India Congress committee supremo to elect the party new Chief here today. Meeting of HPCC held under the leadership of Congress state President Pratibha Singh passed resolution to empower the AICC chief to elect new party president. A one line resolution was moved by the party leaders in the meeting which was signed by all party state members of party Committee. Some of the leaders also proposed the name of Rahul Gandhi in the meeting however most of party members decided to left the decision on party leader Soniya Gandhi. This meeting was called by AICC in all the PCC today to decide about the Election of new president. It was worthwhile to mention that after the demand of Congress group 23 to elect the party new Chief to strengthen party internal democracy. AICC have asked all the PCC to deliberate on the issue sending their choice as new party chief. A delegate of party told us that party leader are unanimously decided to empower the party supremo authorizing Sonia Gandhi to take all decisions on their behalf.
