Resident of Pujarli gram panchayat opposed inclusion of panchayat in MC Shimla
Residents of Gram Panchayat Pujarli under the banner of Himachal Pradesh Kissan Sabha and Gram Sudhar Sabha and Yuva Mandal submitted an memorandum to deputy commissioner Shimla opposing the inclusion of Gram Panchayat Pujarli in the Shimla Nagar Nigam Shimla.
Dr Kuldeep Singh Tanwar said that all villagers of Pujarli objected the decision of council of ministers to include gram panchayat in the Shimla MC.
In memorandum residents of Pujarli Panchayat said that decision of including village Byoliya and other wards in Municipal Corporation Shimla recently by the Cabinet which is against the interest of local residents.
Villagers said that decision to include the Panchayat has been included in Municipal Corporation under the influence of few influential people including high officials who have purchased land under the provisions of Section 118.
Villagers said that State Government should reconsideration this decision as it is against the public interest and sentiments of the entire village residents coming under Gram Panchayat Pujarli and in the near future the poor people would be force to burdened with various taxes.
They said that this decision would end all the traditional and ancestral rights of people by changing land use.
Dr Tanwar said that people living on the boundaries of the Municipal Corporation, the Panchayats of the area and all the villagers are decided to begin a a movements against the decision if it would not be reconsidered.
