Rehabilitation and interests of all the people affected by power projects in Rampur and Luhri area: Vikramaditya

Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh, Congress candidate from Mandi parliamentary constituency, has said that rehabilitation and interests of all the people affected by power projects in Rampur and Luhri area will be fully protected. He said that after becoming MP, his main goals are to open a medical college in Rampur and to speed up the work of tunnel construction in Ani’s Jalodi holding. His government has kept Rs 20 crore for the survey of Jalodi Tunnel. Apart from this, a tunnel will also be constructed in Bhubu Jot so that tourism development in Ani area can be accelerated and the unemployed here can get employment opportunities. Baga Saran of Nirmand will also be developed from tourism point of view. Poly Technical College will also be opened in Dalash. He said that the problems of the traders here will also be resolved.

Today, in his election public relations campaign in Ani assembly constituency, Vikramaditya Singh called upon the people to make him victorious with huge votes and said that this area is adjacent to his residence Rampur and he has family relations from here. He said that he is well aware of the problems of this area and every possible effort will be made to solve them. He said that during the disaster, there was a lot of damage to buildings and roads in this area and the state government provided full help to all the affected people. He said that in the last 15 months, the Public Works Department spent Rs 3500 crore on the construction and improvement of roads. He said that people whose houses were completely destroyed in the disaster were given a compensation of Rs 7 lakh. He said that the government has increased the relief amount by amending the disaster relief manual.

Vikramaditya Singh accused BJP of doing politics only to collect votes. He said that BJP does not talk on issues like inflation and unemployment. He said that in its short tenure of 15 months, the Congress government has fulfilled 5 out of its 10 guarantees. He said that there is no threat to the Congress government of the state, it is completely strong and will complete its tenure.

Vikramaditya Singh said that the BJP candidate from Mandi has come here for sightseeing and shooting these days and will return to her hometown Mumbai after June 4. He said that in her speeches she is insulting the freedom fighters by saying that the country got independence in 2014. He said that someone who has no knowledge of the history of the country is not fit to lead anywhere.

Vikramaditya Singh said that former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur will have to tell the people of the state why BJP did not support the government inside the Assembly during the disaster. He alleged that the Center has completely ignored the interests of Himachal.
