Rains or Snow confines to few places in mid & high reaches of Himachal
Light to moderate rain and snowfall occurred in few places of Kullu, Chamba, Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur district in past 24 hrs however it was partly cloudy and mainly dry in rest of state. Met Office said that Kothi( Kullu) received 35 cm Snowfall Gondla (Lahaul Spiti) 25 cm, Keylong 23 cm, Hansa: 10 cm Kalpa (Kinnaur:) 7 cm, Pooh 2 cm, Khadrala(Shimla) 2.7, Shilaroo-2 cm. High reaches of Manali and Kullu received moderate spell of Snowfall. District Administration Lahaul-Spiti warned that Manali-Leh National Highway (NH-003), Darcha Shinkula road Pangi Killar Highway ( SH – 26 ) & Kaza road (NH-505) is closed from Graphu to Kaza and Sumdo to Losar closed for all types of vehicles. Local people and tourists are advised to avoid unnecessary travel in case of snowfall. Tourist resort Manali had 38mm rain, Seobagh 15.2 mm, Banjar-18.4 mm and Bharmaur (Chamba) 19 mm. Tourist resort Kufri, Shimla, Dalhousie and Dharmshala recorded two to three mm rain. Minimum temperature was normal to above normal in the state despite inclement weather and Snowfall on high reaches no major impact of cold wave was felt in the middle and foothills. Shimla 5.6 degrees and two degrees above normal Sundernagar 8.9 degree, Kalpa minus 0.4 degrees Dharamshala and Nahan 10, Una 8, Keylong -3.5,Solan 3.6,Manali 2 6, Kangra 14, Mandi 9, Bilaspur 8, Hamirpur 9.5, Chamba 9.3 Dalhousie 1.9, Jubberhatti airport 8.6, Kufri 2.2 and Narakanda minus 0.2 degrees respectively.
