Public holiday in GP Sainj on 14th September
A spokesperson of the government informed here today that there will be a Public holiday on 14th September, 2022 in the area of Gram Panchayat Sainj of Development Block Theog of Shimla district, if a poll is held for the Panchayat General Election.
As per the notification issued regarding Panchayati Raj General Election, in case poll is held for the posts of Gram Panchayat Sainj, then all government offices, offices of public undertakings, educational institutions and industrial establishments falling under the said Panchayat would remain closed on 14th September, 2022 (where elections are scheduled).
There will also be a paid holiday for the daily wage workers also on the day of polling, under Section-25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act-1881. The employees working outside their Panchayat can also avail leave for the voting but they will have to produce the certificate from the concerned Presiding Officer that they have actually cast their vote.
