Prime Minister disappointed the employees about the old pension scheme, did not say anything
Aam Aadmi Party’s state president Surjit Thakur said in a statement issued to the media that the employees had high hopes from Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the old pension scheme during his visit to Himachal, but again he has disappointed the employees. Lakhs of employees of the state have been agitating for a long time to implement the Old Pension Scheme. The employees were hopeful that the Prime Minister would come to Himachal and announce the implementation of the Old Pension Scheme, but the Prime Minister did not say anything about the OPS, which has disappointed lakhs of employees of the state. Surjit Thakur said that the old pension scheme was closed by the BJP government at the center. The Prime Minister should implement the Old Pension Scheme for the benefit of the employees of the entire country, but he remained silent on the demands of the employees. Which proves that BJP’s double engine government is anti-employee. Employees have been agitating for years demanding OPS and the government is not listening. Surjit Thakur said that the Aam Aadmi Party has given guarantee of giving OPS to the employees. OPS will be given first as soon as the government is formed.

Surjit Thakur said that Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur are beating the drum of development of double engine government in the state but the Prime Minister has not given anything to Himachal. The state is in debt of 70 thousand crores but the Prime Minister did not talk about the debt and neither the Chief Minister Jairam could ask for anything. Which proves that there is no relief from the central government.
Surjit Thakur said that the people of the state are troubled by inflation and unemployment. The Prime Minister had promised that 2 crore youth would be given employment every year if the BJP government was formed, but the promise of providing employment also proved to be a jumla. Inflation is on the seventh sky under BJP rule. Everyone is troubled by inflation. It has become difficult for people to eat two times. When the Prime Minister came to Himachal, he did not give relief to the people but brought trouble. Thousands of buses were booked for the Prime Minister’s rally. Due to which people had to bear a lot of trouble in the journey. The Prime Minister’s visit to Himachal has been completely disappointing. Modi every time by adding his relation with Himachal, gives a tinge of old memories to the people that he does not give any economic package to the debt-ridden state. Surjit Thakur said that the people of the state are not going to fall under the false rhetoric of BJP leaders. The people of the state have made up their mind to change power. Aam Aadmi Party is standing in front of the public as a strong and honest alternative. The welfare of every section will be achieved only after the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government in the state. The Aam Aadmi Party has given 11 guarantees to the people of the state, which will be fulfilled immediately if the government is formed.
