Prez to grace valedictory Ceremony of IA&AS officers at NAAA) Shimla

President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind will be the chief guest at the valedictory ceremony of Indian Audit & Accounts Service (IA&AS) officers at the National Academy of Audit & Accounts (NAAA), Shimla.

This Ceremony will be held at Yarrows Complex of National Academy of Audit & Accounts (NAAA), Shimla on the morning of 18th September Saturday.
 Governor of Himachal Pradesh Mr.Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Shri Jairam Thakur, Comptroller and Auditor General of India Shri Girish Chandra Murmu and many other invited dignitaries will also grace the event.

The event would be telecast live on DD News, Doordarshan as well as Hon’ble President’s YouTube channel.

Earlier, Hon’ble President arrived at Shimla this afternoon for his 04-day visit to the State of Himachal Pradesh. The President was accorded a dignified welcome on his arrival at Shimla.
 Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, Speaker Vipin Singh Parmar, Parliamentary Affairs Minister and Minister-in-Venting Suresh Bhardwaj, Municipal Corporation Shimla Mayor Satya Kaundal, Military Commander Artrack La. General Raj Shukla, Chief Secretary Ram Subhag Singh, Director General of Police Sanjay Kundu, Secretary General Administration Devesh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Shimla Aditya Negi, Superintendent of Police Monika Bhatungru welcomed him at Anadale Helipad.
During the Ceremony, 38 officer trainees of 2018 and 2019 batches of Indian Audit & Accounts Service will be awarded their induction training completion certificates in the presence of President of India and other dignitaries. Three top performing officer trainees from each batch will be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze medals by the Hon’ble President of India.

The National Academy of Audit and Accounts at Shimla is the apex training institute of the Indian Audit & Accounts Department. It imparts induction training to the lA&AS officers recruited through the Civil Services Examination. Since its establishment in 1950, it has trained hundreds of IA&AS officers with the objective of moulding them into highly professional and competent officers.
The Academy plays a vital nurturing role in helping the institution of the Comptroller & Auditor General of India discharge its constitutional mandate. The Academy also conducts Continuing Professional Education Programs for serving officers of Indian Audit and Accounts Department as well as senior officers from All-India Services, and other Central Civil Services in specialized aspects of public audit and accounting.

IA&AS officers provide leadership to the institution of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, and work at the top and middle leadership level across the organization to assist the Comptroller and Auditor General of India in discharging his constitutional responsibilities, including aiding good governance by the Governments.
