President of India accorded traditional welcome at Sissu

President Ram Nath Kovind has reached Kullu and Tribal District Lahaul Spiti of Himachal Pradesh who is on two days visit of Himachal Pradesh. President landed at the helipad at Sissu in a helicopter and welcomed according to the Lahuli tradition.  The President along with his wife and daughter spent a few moments here amidst the natural beauty.  During the President visit all kinds of adventure activities in the area remained completely closed.  Along with this, Atal Tunnel Rohtang was also kept closed for traffic.  Other activities including paragliding take place at Solangnala and other places in Manali including Sisu area of ​​Tribal district Lahaul Spiti also cancelled due to security reasons.  As soon as the President landed from the helicopter at the helipad at Sissu, he was received there with Lahuli tradition by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and others.After visiting  Sissu, President Kovind’s convoy went through the Atal Tunnel towards the tourist city of Manali. Where his convoy stayed inside the Atal Tunnel for some time and took information about the tunnel from the engineers here. After that, his convoy stopped at Solanganala and Palchan Army Camp. During this visit he interacted with the officers of the Army.
