State Congress President and former MP Pratibha Singh has called upon party leaders, workers and common people to come forward to help the disaster affected people and donate generously to the relief fund. She has said that due to heavy rains and floods in the state this time, immovable and movable property worth lakhs of crores has been damaged. So far more than 360 people have lost their lives and this figure is increasing day by day. Thousands of people are becoming homeless, roads are getting destroyed, crops have been ruined.
Pratibha Singh expressed deep concern over the loss of life and property in this disaster and urged people to contribute to the disaster relief fund. She said that in this hour of disaster, everyone needs to come together and cooperate in relief work.
Pratibha Singh has also appealed to BJP leaders to help the disaster affected people and cooperate in the relief work being done by the state government. She has said that this is not the time to blame anyone. She has said that BJP leaders should demand special financial help from the central government in the interest of the state so that the reconstruction and rehabilitation work of the people can be accelerated in the state. The Congress government of the state is doing a good job in the direction of making the life of the people normal with its limited resources. Providing all possible help to the affected people is the main goal of the state Congress government and the Congress government is never going to back down from this. She has also urged the people to follow the guidelines of disaster management while being fully alert about their safety.
