Pratibha asked the state govt to fill vacant posts of employees in tribal areas so as to expand basic facilities

State Congress President and MP Pratibha Singh, while emphasizing the need to expand basic facilities in the inaccessible areas of the tribal areas of the state, Kinnaur and Lahulspiti, has asked the state government to immediately fill the vacant posts of employees in these areas. She has also asked to ensure the availability of essential commodities in these areas before snowfall.

After his week-long visit to Spiti Valley of Kinnaur and Lahulspiti, she said that people told him about the shortage of specialist doctors in these areas. Posts of teachers are lying vacant at many places in schools also.

Pratibha Singh has said that the development of tribal areas has been the main goal of the Congress government. She said that former Chief Minister Late Virbhadra Singh has launched many schemes for the development of these areas but today the need is to implement them properly. Life of people in these areas is very difficult. Due to heavy snowfall and cold, these people have to face a lot of problems.

Pratibha Singh has assured the local workers that she will talk to the higher officials of the Border Roads Organization regarding any proposal to remove the local laborers engaged in the road construction of the Border Roads Organization from their work for the last several years. She has said that local workers have a huge contribution to road construction in Kinnaur, Pooh, and Kaza, hence the interests of these people should not be tampered with in any way.

Pratibha Singh, while appreciating the state government’s decision to restore subsidy on fuel wood to the people of tribal areas, has said that there should not be any cut in the facilities of the people in these areas.
