Postal, Banking & govt employees strike cripple Services

Second day of National wide steike by different trade union crippled the services of Central Employees, Insurance, Banks, BSNL, Postal Workers, AG Offices on Tuesday in the state. During this, thousands of workers and employees took to the streets against the anti-people policies of the Modi government.In Shimla, workers and employees organized a rally from DC Office Shimla to Sher-e-Punjab Naz Chowk.  CITU National Secretary Dr Kashmir Thakur, State President Vijendra Mehra, General Secretary Prem Gautam, INTUC State President Hardeep Singh Baba, General Secretary Sita Ram Saini, AITUC State President Jagdish Bhardwaj, General Secretary Devkinand, NZIEA State President Subhash Bhatt address the Protest meeting.  They demanded that wages of state Employees are not being linked with inflation and consumer price index.  According to the recommendation of the Seventh Pay Commission and the Fifteenth Indian Labor Conference held in 1957, they are not being paid a salary of twenty one thousand rupees.   Due to the anti-worker policies of the Modi government, crores of laborers have become unemployed during the Corona period, but instead of giving any economic relief to the laborers, they are being pushed towards fixed term employment by depriving them of regular employment.  The employees engaged in the job after the year 2003 are being heavily exploited through the new pension policy.  Government employees are in great trouble due to the anomalies of the Sixth Pay Commission.  The workers and employees are in a state of helplessness due to high inflation and very low wages.
