PM Modi to address two public meetings at Nahan and Mandi on May 24

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address two election meetings in Himachal Pradesh on May 24, 2024, to campaign for BJP candidates. 

The Prime Minister’s visit is part of a strategic push to garner support for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections BJP having three MPs in the state are also considered high stakes for the ruling party.

The first meeting would be held in Mandi at Padal  Maidan at 1300 hrs on May 24, the Prime Minister would campaign in support of Kangana Ranaut, the BJP candidate from Mandi Parliamentary Constituency. 

Ranaut is facing a tough contest against Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh, who is the current Public Works Minister and the son of the six-time Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh.

 The rally in Mandi is expected to draw significant attention due to Ranaut’s high-profile candidacy and her challenging electoral battle.

Mr. Abhayari Lal Sharma, State General Secretary of BJP, would oversee the Nahan rally.

Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister would address a public meeting at Chaugan Maidan at Nahan in Sirmour district at 1100 hrs.

The in-charge of this public meeting is Dr. Sikander Kumar, Rajya Sabha MP.

 This meeting is in support of Suresh Kashyap, the BJP candidate for Shimla  reserve constituency.

 The Nahan rally would be crucial for Kashyap, who is vying for a victory in a competitive political landscape and Shimla remained bastion of Congress for long time.

Both rallies are anticipated to attract large crowds, with each venue expecting around 35,000 attendees. These events are part of the BJP’s broader campaign efforts to consolidate its position in Himachal Pradesh ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

This visit by the Prime Minister underscores the importance of Himachal Pradesh in the BJP’s election strategy and highlights the significant electoral battles faced by the party’s candidates in the state. 

The Prime Minister’s presence is aimed at energizing the party’s base and persuading undecided voters to support the BJP candidates in these crucial constituencies.
