Plaque of Atal Tunnel changed Gatal tradition: Balbir
BJP spokesperson and MLA Balbir Verma said that it is surprising that Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Atal Tunnel and dedicated the tunnel to the people of the country, today after many years there is talk of changing its plaque. This new tradition started by the Congress government is wrong. This is against the sentiments of the people.
This means that in 5 years, we will change the strip that Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu will put up in our government, will we put up a new strip? It should not happen. This is the government and public’s money, it should be utilized well and not misused.
He said that you must have seen that even in times of disaster, there was distribution, the person who should have got more money got one lakh rupees and the person who should have got less money got two and a half lakh rupees.
He said that if we talk about apple growers, during the time of Jairam Thakur’s government, we had received a delegation in which they had submitted that the commission agents and vendors were together robbing the growers. We had formed an SIT on him, in which SP rank officers were appointed. They had recovered more than Rs 100 crore. This broke the courage of the thieves.
This SIT had also arrested such people from Mumbai who had embezzled the money of the gardeners.
He said that we support Universal Cartoon but should we burn the cotton that people still have? Shouldn’t everything be sold in it? The village people are innocent and the government should support them and not create an environment of fear among them.
