People’s anger erupted over the poor condition of the Dhamoon-Habban road

If the Public Works Department does not carry out the necessary repairs to the Dhamoon-Habban road within 15 days, the people of the entire Dimman area will register their protest by staging a road blockade at Sanaura.
This ultimatum was given by a delegation from Dimman area during their meeting with the Executive Engineer, PWD Rajgarh Division, Rajgarh and by submitting a memorandum they informed him about the poor condition of the Dhamoon-Habban road. Kamal Sharma, who was leading the delegation, said that the Dhamoon to Habban road was constructed by the Public Works Department in the year 1972, but in the last 55 years, no government has paved this road till date. He said that buses and small vehicles ply on this road daily, due to which the condition of the unpaved road has become even worse, that is, the road has turned into potholes.
Kamal Sharma said that due to the rain, the road has completely collapsed in many places. Potholes two feet deep have formed in many places, while in some areas the road has a 60-degree incline. In such a situation, if the axle or tire of a bus or other heavy vehicle gets damaged, a major accident cannot be ruled out.
Residents report that after the rains, only enough debris has been removed from the road to allow vehicles to pass. Some time ago, three to four multi-task workers were deployed to repair the road, but for the past four months, they have been sent to other locations, leaving the road in the same condition.
The delegation has also sent a memorandum to Public Works Department Minister Vikramaditya Singh through Naib Tehsildar Rajgarh.
