People should defeat money power : Sukhu
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu on Monday evening gave a boost to the election campaign of Congress candidate Devendra Jaggi by making a whirlwind tour of Dharamshala. The Chief Minister said that the sellable MLAs of Congress bought the lotus of BJP. They sold themselves and created a strange situation for the honest workers of BJP. I request the BJP workers to rise above the party ideology and vote for the honest candidates of Congress.
The Chief Minister launched a scathing attack on the sellable MLAs of BJP in the program held at McLeodganj bus stand, McLeodganj Hall of Tibetan community and Hotel and Restaurant Association. He said that those who did not join Congress will not join BJP either. The sold MLAs will cheat BJP as well. Their nature is of cheating. They have placed their bid in the political market of BJP. The sold MLA of Dharamshala is the biggest land mafia besides being a gang leader. He has been buying land in the name of his driver Nek Ram for the last three years. He has bought 72 properties for Rs. 10 crore. Sudhir also has benami property abroad.
The former MLA of Dharamshala kept his phone and the doors of his house closed for 14 months. He did not participate in anyone’s happiness and sorrow. Now he is going from door to door crying, pleading to people, but crying will not work. People have made up their mind to defeat the politics of money power. Devendra Jaggi is an honest man, no one can question him. During my tenure of 15 months, I myself got development works done in Dharamshala. I myself got the Smart City project speeded up. Gave a milk processing plant worth Rs. 250 crore in Dhangwar. Brought Unity Mall worth Rs. 500 crore. The sellable MLA did not contribute anything to the development of Dharamshala.
The CM said that Jaggi and I will together give more impetus to the development of Dharamshala. Send Jaggi to victory and the face of Dharamshala will be transformed. After the election you will see that the areas of Dharamshala which were ignored by the former MLA will be blessed with development. I will come back to Dharamshala after the election results, will visit every area and give a new direction to development. My request to the public is that the politics of money power has to be defeated, the power of the public is the real power.
