People distributed laddus when Solan Peeran Thund bus service started after three years
. The HRTC Solan-Peeran Thund bus service which was closed for the last three years was started on Sunday by a private bus operator Piyush Coach. On reaching Peeran, people expressed their gratitude to the government by raising slogans in support of Rural Development Minister Anirudh Singh. People expressed their happiness by garlanding the driver and bus owner Inderjit Verma and distributing laddus. Inderjit said that this bus service will start from Solan at 3:15 pm and from Thund at 6 am and will reach Solan at 9 am.
Former President of Kasumpti Congress Mandal and Director of Himachal Cooperative Society, Atar Singh Thakur has expressed his gratitude to Kasumpti area MLA and Rural Development Minister Aniruddh Singh for starting Solan Peeran Thund bus service in the private sector. He said that this bus service was started from Solan on 7 January 1995 when former CM Virbhadra Singh inaugurated the bridge at Nariga on Giri river. The bus which was running for the last 30 years was closed by HRTC Solan citing it as a loss making route. In view of this serious problem of the people, the minister gave the permit of this route to the private sector. He said that the people of this area go to Solan Sabzi Mandi to buy their personal goods and sell cash crops but due to the closure of this bus, people were facing a lot of problems.
Former Pradhan Dayaram Verma said that it was not logical for HRTC Solan to stop this bus service which was running for the last 30 years. He thanked Minister Aniruddh Singh for starting the bus service.
