People are troubled due to closure of Chhalanda Piran Jaghed and Janedghat WB road
Due to heavy rain and landslide last night, Junga Chhlanda-Peeran Jaghed road has been closed at Trahai Nala and Jaghed Dhank. Due to which the Peeran Shimla bus could not reach its destination on Sunday. Passengers going to Shimla had to face a lot of trouble. Till the time of writing the news, the Public Works Department has not sent any JCB machine to repair the road on the spot. Similarly, due to heavy landslide in Jaghed Dank, people could not go to Solan.
Many people including Manohar Singh Thakur, Vinay Sharma, Rakesh Mehta from Gania, resident of Trahai told that due to frequent landslides in Trahai Nala, Thund Nala and Jagher Dhank, the movement of vehicles is getting obstructed. Vinay told that Shimla Peeran bus passengers are facing a lot of trouble due to the closure of Trahai Nala. He told that Trahai Nala was closed last night but despite about 18 hours passing, JCB has not been sent by PWD. Vinod Charet, resident of Jagher, told that the road from Nariga to Jagher has broken at many places. Due to heavy debris in Jagher Dhank, this road has been closed since morning and no machine has come to clean it. He told that till the time the drains are not installed at some places on this road, heavy vehicles i.e. bus service will not be able to run.
Similarly, the Janedghat WB road is also closed near Fanevati since the last one week. Due to the closure of this road, people of Balog Panchayat as well as the surrounding Panchayats are facing a lot of problems. JE Dharmendra Kumar of Public Works Department Chhalanda Junga said that the work of opening all the closed roads is going on on a war footing and all the roads will be opened soon.
