Patients are worried due to the vacancy of doctor’s post in CHC Koti
Patients visiting the Community Health Center Koti are facing a lot of problems due to the absence of a doctor for the past six months. Patients have to go to Junga or Shimla for their treatment. There is only one dentist in the hospital in the name of doctor. The situation is such that the hospital does not have equipment for extraction and treatment of teeth.
President Pradhan Parishad and local Panchayat Pradhan Ramesh Sharma said that the government has increased the status of the hospital to CHC but the hospital does not have any facilities in the name of facilities. People from five nearby Panchayats come to this hospital for treatment. He said that two posts of doctors are lying vacant in the hospital for a long time. On an average 50 to 60 patients come to the OPD every day in the hospital but due to the absence of a doctor, the patients have to return disappointed. He said that if any sudden incident occurs in the area, then even the facility for first aid is not available in this hospital.
Pradhan Ramesh Sharma said that last year CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, who came to inaugurate the building of Chail Koti, had announced to provide 108 ambulances and ten beds for indoor patients in CHC Koti, but even after about eight months, the CM’s announcements proved to be empty. Let us tell you that National Ambulance Service 108 is not available in any hospital of Junga area of Kasupanti Vidhan Sabha.
