Partial movement of local, tourists to Lahaul and Pangi Valley permitted

Manali-Keylong and Udaipur-Pangi roads are partly opened for restricted movement of local and tourist in their vehicle during the day. A Travel Advisory issued by Lahaul-Spiti district administration said that keeping in view the road and weather conditions in the district, and the Black Ice Phenomenon, slippery road conditions & due to one-way traffic on NH 003 all Locals are allowed ( Except Truck & Two Wheeler ) to enter the district via Rohtang Tunnel ( vice versa ) from 08:00 AM to 06:00 PM only without any restriction.  All Pangi bound four by four vehicles & Sumo with Chain are allowed  to enter the district via Rohtang Tunnel  ( vice versa ) from 08:00 AM to 06:00 PM only without any restriction. Tourists who have Hotels Home Stay booking in the valley should be allowed to travel in their own vehicles ( Only four by four vehicle ) .  As road is open for one-way vehicular movement so Police Department will ensure traffic movement and coordinate with District Kullu Police. However commuters are warned that due to prevailing inclement weather in the valley and possibility of avalanches, Locals & tourists are advised to be very cautious while traveling in the valley.  In case of snowfall, they are requested to move and stay in safe places.  All Hotel and Homestay owners are also requested to advise their guests likewise. Meanwhile Met Office forcast light snowfall on high reaches and rain shower at isolated places in next 24 high reaches of Lahaul-Spiti and Chamba likely to have light spell of rain and mainly dry weather in rest of state today. Kullu district lashed by major spell of rain in past 24 hrs as Manali(Kullu) had 12mm Sarahan(Shimla) seven mm, Seobagh and Bhuntar six mm, Tourist resort  Narkanda and Recong-peo (Kinnuar) 1.5 mm. In Lahaul-Spit Gondla had two cm snow and  Kalpa(Kinnaur): 1.6 Tourist resort Kufri and Keylong have traces of snowfall. Minimum temperature three to four degrees above normal in the state as Shimla recorded  8.8 degrees,Bhuntar airport 6.4 degrees, Kalpa minus 0.1, Dharamshala 12.2,Una 11.3 ,Nahan 12.3, Keylong minus 2.4, Solan 8.6, Manali 2.8, Kangra 13, Mandi 11.4, Bilaspur 15, Hamirpur 11.5, Chamba 11.4, Dalhousie 7.1, Jubberhatti airport 8.6, Tourist resort Kufri 5.1 and Narkanda 1.6 respectively.
