Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru remembered on his birth anniversary
Remembering the first Prime Minister of independent India, late Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru on his birth anniversary today, party leaders and workers offered flowers on his photograph at the State Congress Headquarters, Rajiv Bhawan.
During this, remembering the contribution of Pandit Nehru in the country’s independence and freedom movement, the party leaders said that Pandit Nehru’s contribution in the making of modern India will always be remembered.
State Women’s Congress President Zainab Chandel said that during her two terms as President of the Indian National Congress, Pandit Nehru laid a strong foundation for the Congress party in the country, strengthening its ideology. She said that the time has come to further strengthen this foundation. She called on party workers to come forward to promote the Congress ideology and never back down from protecting the nation’s unity and integrity.
Zainab Chandel said that Pandit Nehru decided to celebrate this day as Children’s Day, highlighting the bright future and rights of children. He loved children very much, and this is why children called him “Chacha Nehru.”
He said that everyone will have to move forward by following the path shown by Pandit Nehru , this will be the true tribute of the people of the state to Nehru ji.
