Panchayat secretary caught red handed taking bribe

Gram Panchayat Secretary , Gram Panchayat Kotari Byas ( testura) caught red handed taking Rs 16000 from the complaint today, a Police Officer said today. Station State Vigilance & Anti Corruption Bureau , Nahan against Smt. Reeta Gupta , the Secretary , Gram Panchayat Kotari Byas ( testura ) , Tehsil Paonta Sahib , District Sirmour . She was caught red handed while demanding or  accepting illegal gratification of Rs. 16000 from the complainant in lieu of releasing pending payment pertaining to the construction material supplied to the Gram Panchayat by him . Further investigation of the case is in progress. A case was lodged today under section seven of ( Amended ) PC Act , 2018 has been registered in Police .
