Over a dozen injured in road mishap near Patta Mehlog

ATLEAST 15  passengers  sustained  injuries, five of them seriously, when a HRTC bus in which they were traveling rolled down into gorge at Thedpura village near Patta -Mehlog on Subathu- Barotiwala road under Baddi police district, on Saturday morning.Preliminary investigations made by police revealed that bus bearing registration number (HP 12 C-6631) was on its way from Joharji Shrine to Nalagarh. As soon as it reached at Thedpur village at around 7.30 am, the driver lost control over the vehicle owing to developing of sudden technical snag and the bus carrying passengers plunged into gorge, leaving around three dozen passengers injured. A total of 32 passengers were traveling in the bus. The Injured passengers were rushed to CHC Patta-Mehlog where after primary treatment, wher four injured were referred to Nalagarh and others to Parwanoo hospitals while one seriously injured was referred to PGI Chandigarh. Nalagarh SDM Mahender Pal Gujjar and Doon MLA Paramjeet Singh Pammi also visited the spot and supervised the relief and rescue operations, launched by the villagers of nearby village. A case has been registered.
