Orphaned Children to Receive Coaching Under Chief Minister Sukh Ashray Scheme

A meeting was held today, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap, to discuss providing coaching facilities to orphaned children under the Chief Minister Sukh Ashray Scheme. Representatives from renowned coaching institutions in Shimla also participated in the meeting.

Deputy Commissioner Kashyap highlighted that the state government has granted orphaned children the status of “Children of the State,” ensuring that all their care and educational expenses will be fully covered by the government. As part of this initiative, provisions have been made to offer coaching facilities to these children, and today’s meeting aimed to collaborate with coaching centers for this purpose.

Kashyap mentioned that a list of coaching centers will be prepared for each district, in line with government directives, after which eligible children will be provided access to coaching in these institutions.

Following in-depth discussions, the Department of Women and Child Development was instructed to develop a comprehensive standard operating procedure to ensure that eligible children benefit from the scheme.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Verma, District Program Officer of the Women & Child Development Department Mamta Paul, representatives from coaching institutions, and other officials were present at the meeting.
