One Week One Lab program concludes at CSIR-IHBT Palampur
The “One Week One Lab” program at CSIR-IHBT, Palampur, which is being run from February 20-25, 2023, concluded today. Today’s program was on “Strengthening Local Linkages”. Mayor, Palampur Municipal Corporation Mrs. Poonam Bali was the guest of the ceremony.
Dr. Pralay Das, Principal Scientist of the Institute while welcoming the participants highlighted the objective of the “One Week One Laboratory” programme. Institute’s Scientist Engineer Mohit Sharma gave information on Chemical Technology, Dr. Mahesh Gupta on Challenges in Post-harvest Management – Crispy Fruit and Fruit Technology, Dr. Poonam on Flower Value Addition Technology and Dr. Probir Kumar Paul on Agricultural Technology.
Dr. Aparna Maitra Pati, Chief Scientist, CSIR-IHBT while moderating the program informed that during this week CSIR-IHBT has displayed its developed technologies.
The highlight of the event was the exhibition of technologies as well as the visit of the participants to Tulip Garden, Bamboo Museum, Pilot Plant and Food Processing Unit. Farmers, entrepreneurs and women will be empowered by adopting the CSIR-IHBT technologies displayed in the “One Week One Lab” opportunity and the country will move towards self-reliance.
