One country one heartbeat’ program organized at Habib Mansingh Art Center

Internationally renowned folk artist Dr. Jogendra Habib said in a press statement that ‘Ek Desh Ek Dhadak’ program was organized at Habib Mansingh Kala Kendra, Jalang, Pazhouta, courtesy North Zone Cultural Center, Patiala. This program was dedicated to patriotism, unity and cultural harmony, in which the message of integrity and unity of the country was given through songs, dances, poetry recitation and speeches.

The program started with a procession in which women and villagers from Jalag, Drabla and nearby villages gave the message of national unity with slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai, carrying the tricolor in their hands. After this, the main cultural program started at Habibi Mansingh Kala Kendra.

The program started with the group song ‘Ae mere watan ke logon’ by the women of Jai Shirgul Maharaj Self Help Group. After this, the artists of Aasra Sanstha presented the chorus song ‘Ekta ki raah par mil ke chalo saathiyon’. Folk singers Hemlata, Bimla Chauhan and Deepika of Drabala Mahila Mandal enthralled the audience with their patriotic songs. Neeraj of Lucky Self Help Group gave a powerful speech on patriotism, while Pradhan Mahila Mandal Drabala Reena Habbi recited an impressive poem on patriotism.

The programme was conducted by Dr. Jogendra Habib and he also mesmerized the audience by reciting his patriotic poems in between. Gopal Habib, recipient of Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar and Bimla Chauhan, a famous singer of Mandi district who has received B High recognition from All India Radio, enthralled the audience with their folk song performances. The programme concluded with a group dance on Naatis by all the artists and audience, which painted everyone in the colour of unity.

The artists of Aasra Sanstha who gave their performance included Gopal Habbi, Chamanlal, Hansraj, Sandeep, Aman, Saroj, Annu, Payal, Bimla and Aarti. Apart from this, Jai Shirgul Maharaj, Jagriti and Lucky, women from three self-help groups and Mahila Mandal Drabla and Mahila Mandal Jalang also took active part.

On this occasion, eminent personalities of the area, Mayaram Sharma, Ramswaroop Atri, Surendra Habibi, Indrasingh, Sunil Prakash and heads of self-help groups and women’s groups, Anita, Jyoti, Pariksha, Rita, Rekha, Sulochana, Reena, Preeti, Champa, Ruchika, Rupna and many villagers participated in the program.
