NSUI Launches “Sankalp – Anti-Drug Campaign” from Shimla
The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) today launched the “Sankalp – Anti-Drug Campaign” from Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. The campaign was inaugurated by NSUI’s National President, Mr. Varun Chaudhary. Also present at the event were NSUI Himachal Pradesh in-charge Munishwar Sharma, NSUI Himachal Pradesh State President Tony Thakur, former NSUI State President Chhatar Singh Thakur, NSUI Himachal Pradesh Social Media State President Mananat Mehta (Goldy), and NSUI National Coordinators Mohit Thakur and Rubal Singh Thakur.
The Sankalp campaign aims to raise awareness among youth about the dangers of drug abuse and to build a drug-free society. NSUI plans to implement this campaign in all districts of Himachal Pradesh in a phased manner. Speaking on the occasion, NSUI National President Varun Chaudhary said, “Our priority is to keep the country’s youth away from the grip of drugs. We are determined to reach every student and encourage them to stay drug-free.”
NSUI Himachal Pradesh State President Tony Thakur shared that the campaign will be carried out in every college and university across the state to educate young people about the risks of drug addiction and inspire them to lead a healthy and safe future.
The campaign will spread the anti-drug message through various channels, including awareness rallies, seminars, and digital platforms. NSUI Social Media Head Mananat Mehta (Goldy) added that social media will be used to enhance the campaign’s reach, ensuring it connects with as many young people as possible.
NSUI’s initiative is set to become a milestone in the fight against drug abuse in Himachal Pradesh and will play a key role in helping youth break free from addiction.
