Normal life still out of track in Himachal, Avalanche looming large in tribal district

Normal life could not restored completely in the state as number of roads three main National Highway 346 roads are still snowbound and trafic power, water, supply, communication are out of order.

Roads, Power and Water supply couldn’t restored in all places as 346 roads are still affected in the state. Around 118 roads are blocked in Lahaul-Spiti, 102 in Shimla, 50 in Mandi, 39 in Chamba, 31in Kullu, five in Kinnuar & two in Solan district.

Spokesperson of Kinnaur district administration informed that a heavy Rock slide on Hindustan Tibet NH-05 near Urni Dank at 1615hrs, due to earthquake there is no loss of life. 
 He confirmed that earth quake measuring 4.2 on Richter scale occurred 1127 hrs on Sunday. 
District Administration deployed one JCB machine on the spot to through theroad. Now road is open for all type of vehicles .

 Manali-Attal Tunnel Rohtang-Keylong (Leh) National Highway couldn’t open for vehicular traffic by district administeration as it still closed due to snowfall and there is a possibility of snow avalanche.
Deputy commissioner Lauhal Spiti Neeraj Kumar said that BRO is currently engaged in clearing the snow from the road.
After heavy snowfall 115 link roads are become blocked and slippery in many places and there is a possibility of snow avalanche therefore in case of extreme emergency medical conditions vehicles would be permitted Administeration, he said urging public to avoid unnecessary travel.
He said that NH- 03, and NH- 505 are blocked in the district. NH- 03 at South poll and North poll of ATR and from Darcha to Sarchu and NH 505 is blocked between Lossar to Chota Dara.
Normal life is completely out of gear in the district and 66 road are Snowbound in Lahaul Subdivision 46 in Udaipur and three in Spiti.

236 distribution Transformer Regions are down in the state including 173 in Shimla district, 30 in Shimla, 28 in Chamba, four in Kullu and 9 one in Mandi district. 
57 water supply schemes disrupted by snowfall in the state including 27 in Lahaul-Spiti, 21 in Chamba and nine in Shimla.
It was mainly sunny and dry in the state on Monday and mercury improvised by couple of degrees giving respite from coldwave.
Keylong, headquarter of Lahaul Spiti Minimum temperature recorded minus 5.4 degree Celsius(five degrees high of yesterday, Kalpa minus one degrees, Manali 0.4 degrees, Kufri minus 0.8 degrees, Dalhousie 2.6 degrees, Shimla four degrees, 
Solan 3.6 degrees, Chamba 6.9 degrees, Dharmshala 6.2 degrees, Hamirpur 6.8 degrees, Kangra 7.2 degrees,Mandi 5.1 degrees,  Una 5.8 degrees and Bilaspur 6.5 degrees each, Nahan(Sirmour) 9.7 degrees, 
Forecast rain or snow at isolated places of mid and high reaches in next 24 hrs.
