Normal life continue to be paralyzed in Himachal, 233 road snowbound

Normal life is continue paralyzed for third day on Sunday as two National Highway and 233 roads are snowbound and  38 distribution Transformer Region and eight water supply scheme are affected by the recent snowfall. District Lahaul-Spiti and Kullu are still cut of from main steam as restoration work is not moving so fast due to mounting of heavy snowfall in the roads and temperatures is keeping in minus under subzero. Secretary State Diaster Management authority Sudesh Mokta said that 148 roads including two National Highway are snowbound in Lahaul Spiti district . He said that NH-505 Gramphu to Lossar, and NH-03 Darcha to Sarchu  us officially closed till summer . According SP Lahaul-Spiti Manav Verma Manali Leh National Highway ( NH – 003 ) is open for four by four  vehicles till Darcha . The Darcha Shinkula road is closed for all types of vehicles. Pangi Killar Highway ( SH – 26 ) is open for 4by  4 vehicles with chains . Kaza road ( NH – 505 ) is closed from Gramphu to Kaza and Sumdo to Losar is open for 4 by 4 vehicles . An advisory was also sounded for Tourist and commuter that keeping in view the road and weather conditions in Lahaul-Spiti district, and the black Ice phenomenon and slippery road conditions on NH -3, only locals and Pangi bound 4 by 4 vehicles and Sumo SUV with chain are allowed to enter the district via ATR only till further orders.  Police Department Lahaul & Spiti would oversee the traffic management and coordinate with District Kullu Police.  Due to inclement weather Locals & tourists are advised to be very cautious while traveling in the valley.  In case of snowfall, they are requested to move and stay in safe places.  All Hotel and Homestay owners are also requested to advise their guests likewise.    In Lahaul of Lahaul-Spiti district out 86 roads 66 are blocked. In Spiti Subdivision all 43 roads are blocked and In Udaipur out 43 roads 38 are blocked. In Kullu district Total 42 roads and two NH are snowbound. Traffic is not allowed on slippery Rohtang pass NH-3 and NH 305 . In Manali, Banjar , Nirmand and Kullu Subdivision , 18, 13, 9 & 2 roads are snow bound. Baring two roads in Chopal Subdivision all other snowbound roads were restored in Shimla district. Hindustan Tibet National Highway -5 also remained closed in Saturday was cleared for all vehicles. On Sunday bone biting cold wave, fog and slippery roads kept normal life out of gear.  Minimum temperature of Keylong was minus 11.3 degrees , Kalpa minus 5.6, Manali minus 3.8, Kufri 0.7 , Solan 1.7,0Shimla 2.8,  Dharamshala 3, Una 6.6, Kangra 8.5,  Mandi 4.6 ,Bilaspur 8.0 -1.0 3.5 0 Hamirpur 9.7 & Chamba 2.6.Met Office issued yellow alert of partly cloudy Sky with foggy conditions and low visibility Partly cloudy Sky in next 24 hrs. According to Met office forecast light snowfall in Lahaul & Spiti , Kinnaur , Kullu and Light Snowfall at higher reaches  at isolated places. Light rainfall likely to occur over low hills and plains on 18th and 19th Jan.
