New GST is a big relief package of government for the poor and common people: Bindal

BJP State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal said that the Narendra Modi government has given a very big relief package for the poor and common people of the country. He said that GST has been reduced to a great extent on the everyday items of the common man and GST has been made zero on many everyday items, which will benefit crores of countrymen.

Dr Bindal said that GST has been made zero on everyday items like wheat, flour which are bought by the common man. Similarly, tax has been reduced a lot on milk, paneer, paratha sold in dhabas, chapati, dal, vegetable, fruit juice and in some cases, tax has been made zero. This is a huge gift given by the Prime Minister to the countrymen. Tax has been reduced or made zero on about 60-70 percent of items. He said that earlier there were four slabs of GST but now only two slabs have been kept and the things which we do not promote or whose use is harmful for us like cigarettes, tobacco products etc. have been kept in the 40 percent slab.

Dr. Bindal said that the things used by the poor have been made tax free, products made by potters, products made from silk have also been given tax exemption. In this way, a big relief has been given on the items used by the common man on a daily basis and the traders have also got a big relief from this. The reduction in the tax slab will help them a lot in maintenance etc. and the government believes that the poor man should get freedom from tax. We express our gratitude to the Narendra Modi government, we thank Nirmala Sitharaman a lot and this decision taken in the GST Council is a welcome step and the Bharatiya Janata Party Himachal Pradesh heartily congratulates it and congratulates the common people of Himachal.
