NDPS accuseds convicts for 10yrs rigerous imprisonment
Special Judge ( CBI ) Court Shimla , Aman Sood convicted the accused Prem Roka , S / O Sh . Narbahadur R / o Village ChaheKarange Oda No.2 Thana Daur District Salyan Nepal , for the offense punishable u / s 20 of NDPS Act . Accordingly the convict has been to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 10 years and to pay fine of Rs. 1,00,000. In default to undergo one year rigorous imprisonment. Bhairav Negi) Addll. Public Prosecutor , ( CBI ) Court Shimla said in a press release issued here today that case registered at Police Station Theog , and investigated by IO Surjeet Singh & HC Sudesh . The brief facts of the case are that on 27.4.2019 SI Surjeet Singh and other officials were on patrolling duty in the area of Sandhu – Laphu Ghati Narail . At around 04:05 pm when police officials were on the road connecting Matyana & Theog they spotted a person coming from the side of Matyana , who on seeing the police party , hastily tried to run back however , they nabbed him . On enquiry he disclosed his name to be Prem Roka and associated the two independent witnesses in the investigation . They search the carry bag in the right hand of the accused, on which black colored substance wrapped in the polythene was found. On checking it was detected to be charas ( cannabis ) . On weighment , it was found to be 1kg and 500 gms . On the basis of these facts , FIR was registered under section 20 of NDPS Act against the accused Prem Roka . After completion of investigation challan was presented before the Ld. Trial Court. During the Trial, Prosecution has examined 13 witnesses to prove this case and the conviction of the accused. On the conclusion of the trial the arguments were heard and Ld. Special Judge ( CBI ) , Court Shimla convicted the accused for commission of the offense as alleged above .
