National Safe Motherhood Day organized at DD Upadhyay Hospital Shimla

 National Safe Motherhood Day was celebrated at Deendayal Upadhyay Hospital (Ripan), Shimla on Thursday, courtesy of the Health and Family Welfare Department. Which was presided over by Chief Medical Officer Shimla Dr. Rakesh Pratap.
He told in his address that mother has a huge contribution on this earth. Being the mother form, the creation or the world runs through them. Dr. Rakesh Pratap said that many programs are being run by the department for safe mother-child delivery and special emphasis is being given on institutional delivery.
CMO said that to ensure safe and healthy motherhood, it is very important for women to have information about pregnancy, delivery and post-delivery necessary care. He told that the employees of the department and Asha workers go from village to village, prepare complete data of women during pregnancy and also check their health from time to time.
On this occasion, health teachers Sanjana Dafraik and Meena Sharma gave detailed information to the women present in the program about pregnancy, delivery and post-delivery essential care, institutional delivery, Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan and Janani Suraksha Yojana.
