Naresh Chauhan Criticizes BJP’s Use of ED and CBI Against Congress Leaders

Naresh Chauhan, the Chief Media Consultant to the Prime Minister, has expressed strong criticism against the BJP-led central government. He stated that the Congress Party has played a crucial role in the country’s freedom and development, but it is unfortunate that the BJP government is misusing agencies like the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to pressurize Congress leaders and their governments.

Chauhan accused the BJP of conspiring to undermine democracy by using these tactics to maintain their power and polish their political image. He highlighted that the ED has filed charges against former Congress Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and National General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, which he believes is an attempt by the BJP to tarnish the image of national leaders.

He pointed out that wherever BJP governments are in power, there are no ED or CBI actions, but in states where Congress governs, false cases are filed to pressurize their leaders. Chauhan mentioned the National Herald case, emphasizing that it is an institution established by the Congress Party before independence, and any decisions regarding it are made within the party’s discretion and rules.

Chauhan condemned the BJP’s actions and stated that the Congress Party will launch a nationwide movement against these condemnable decisions and raise awareness about the BJP’s false policies. He also criticized former Chief Minister Jayaram Thakur, accusing him of mismanaging the state during his tenure, which led to its lagging behind.
