Nardev Singh Kanwar chairs BOD meeting of HP Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board
The 45th Board of Directors (BOD) meeting of the Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board was chaired by Nardev Singh Kanwar here on Monday. The Chairman emphasized the need over to extend the Board’s activities to reach out to the needy and deserving construction workers. He emphasized the importance of providing financial assistance through the various social welfare schemes being run by the Board.
Nardev Singh Kanwar directed the officials to work in close coordination with trade unions to enhance the benefits for the Board’s beneficiaries.
He also expressed gratitude to all participants for their support, valuable discussions and suggestions, which contributed to a productive meeting. The meeting also addressed several long-pending important matters related to the welfare of construction workers.
The Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Board, Rajiv Kumar, provided a detailed update to the Chairman on various ongoing projects and initiatives of the Board.
Following the BOD meeting, non-official members had detailed interactions with the Board’s labour welfare officers and gave their valuable suggestions for the smooth working of the board.
Deputy Labour Commissioner Manish Karol, Deputy Secretary of Labour and Employment to the Government of Himachal Pradesh Amar Singh, Assistant Controller of Finance and Accounts Naresh Chauhan and other senior officers of the Board were also present in the meeting.
