Nandlal Sharma won three gold and one silver medal in the 45 plus age group

Nandlal Sharma, physical education teacher at Government Senior Secondary School, Mashobra, achieved a record by winning three gold and one silver medals at the fourth Master Sports Competition held yesterday in Paonta, Sirmaur district. Upon arriving at the school on Monday, Nandlal Sharma was warmly welcomed by the school staff and children, and the principal congratulated him on this achievement.
It’s worth noting that this competition was open to players aged 30 to 100, with over 600 male and female players from across the state participating. The competition included events like basketball, football, volleyball, badminton, long jump, high jump, running, yoga, and more.
Nandlal Sharma won gold medals in long jump and yoga, and a silver medal in the 100-meter race in the 45-plus age group. The team in this category also won a gold medal in volleyball. Physical education teacher Nandlal Sharma is an international-level volleyball and athletics player. He has participated in numerous state, national, and international sports competitions over the past 30 years. He recently brought glory to the state by participating in the Asian Games held in Chennai.
Nandlal Sharma stated that he has been passionate about sports since childhood, which is why he pursued a career in sports. He added that while serving as a PET in various schools, under his guidance, numerous school children have brought glory to the state by participating in state and national level sports competitions. He added that this year, 28 students from Mashobra School have brought glory to the school by participating in the state level sports competition.
