Nand Lal appointed as Chairman of Himachal State Finance Commission
Himachal Pradesh Government today appointed Congress MLA Nand Lal as Chairman of 7th State Finance Commission (SFC) .
After the appointment of Mr Nand Lal as Chairman of SFC he also
called on Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu here today. It was a courtesy call.
Nand Lal said that the state was progressing by leaps and bounds under the stewardship of Sukhu and expressed full faith in the Chief Minister.
The Chairman added that the State Government had launched various welfare schemes which were benefitting the people of the State.
The appointment of Nand Lal is considered as major change in the working of Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu government as he elevated party MLA as cabinet rank functionary. Before this RS Bali is among such appointee who enjoys statous of cabinet rank.
Showing displeasure over the crossing over of six MLAs belonging to PCC chief Pratibha Singh camp she said that Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu ignoring party elected representatives and workers who are not given priority in the government.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil, Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi, Education Minister Rohit Thakur, Chief Parliamentary Secretaries, Mohan Lal Brakta and Ram Kumar and MLAs were also present on the occasion of elevation of Nand Lal as Chairman.
