Movement of vehicle restricted on the Kennedy Chowk to Bioleauganj for President Shimla visit

The state administration issued special  prohibitory order on Tuesday in wake of upcoming visit of President of India Ramnath Kovind to Shimla from Sep 16 to 19 restricting the movement of vehicles between Kennedy Chowk to Bioleauganj via Chaura Maidan.
A notification of this effect was issued by district Magistrate Aditya Negi released to media on Tuesday evening confirmed that leading to President of India visit here and to ensure the security and law and order during the visit it was necessary to restrict above road as requested by SP Shimla.
The security have been beefed up in the town as number of police and paramilitary jawan were deputy along with weapon on the entire town specially on the Mall Road and Ridge .
DM said that in exercise of the power vested in him under sec 115 of the Motor Vehicle Act 1988 and all others powers enabling him in the behalf notify to restrict the road from Kennedy Chowk to Bioleauganj via Chaurmaidan with effect from Sep; 16 to 19during the visit of President of India for all the vehicles.
He further said that all the vehicle of the local residents of the area  subject to production of residence certificate, vehicle of the officials deployed in connection with above visit and emergency vehicles shall be exempted from the above restrictions. 
On Tuesday convey of about 20 vehicles made a mock drill from Kennedy chowk to Rajbhavan restraining the commuters on the Ridge and Mall roads haphazardly by deploying the traffic force. It is worthwhile to mentioned here that normally only few vehicles are allowed or permitted to mall road as the town was meant for pedestrian movement only.
Meanwhile the town which is currently witnessing heavy crowd of tourists and local remained crowded and congested likely to cause inconvenience to general public owing to beefing up security and turning the town as the police security fort. 
Now president of India is scheduled to arrive here on Sep 19 and as the President Helicopter along with his staff members would land at Anna-dale ground from where he would rush to Cecil hotel.
 President is schedule to address the Special session of Himachal Pradesh Assembly AT 1100 hrs on Sep 17 and he likely to visit the Rajbhavan in the evening as Governor of Himachal Pradesh would host dinner to him. President of India also schedule to visit the Indian Audit and accounts academy Yarrow near Chauhra Maidan on Sep 18  to address the research fellow of academy and schedule to return New Delhi on Sep 19. 
During last week as many as five staff members including manager of Rashtrapati Niwas Retreat were tested positive for the Novel Corona Virus forcing the administration and President security to shift his halt from Retreat to Obery Clarke five star hotel Cecil at Chauramadian.
Earlier President of India was schedule to arrive at Kalayani helipad near Chharabara and schedule to stay at The Retreat along with all staff members. The president was likely to stay here till Sep 20 however due to the Covid pandemic and shifting of President stay to Cecil hotel couple of assignment including hosting of high tea to the prominent citizen and media persons now cancelled .  
State Administration is burning mid not burner to arrange the President visit to Shimla as he was invited by the speaker of Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha to address the golden jubilee celebration at Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha.
Ramnath Kovind cancelled his summer sojourn at Rashtrapati Niwas The Retreat owing to Covid situation last years and due to water and heavy rush of tourists in year 2018-19. During his past visit to The retreat Mr Ramnath Kovind have also visited the Shimla water sanctuary showing keen interest in the Deodar forests along with the children. Mr Kovind also wrote a piece on the beauty of Shimla water sanctuary.
