Modi has always considered Himachal as his own, The state has always received his love : Nadda

National President of Bharatiya Janata Party and Union Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda on Wednesday thanked the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah for the fund of more than Rs 2006 crore released for rehabilitation in Himachal Pradesh under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah ji. He said that today the High Committee under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah ji has approved a reconstruction plan of Rs 2006.40 crore for Himachal Pradesh after the flood, landslide, cloudburst incident of 2023. On behalf of the entire people of Himachal Pradesh, I thank the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and Hon’ble Home Minister and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah ji from the bottom of my heart.

Shri Nadda said that we all know that the Prime Minister has always considered Himachal Pradesh as his own. The state has always received his love. The amount released by the Union Home Ministry and the Union Home Minister will definitely help Himachal Pradesh in reconstruction activities after the damage and destruction caused by cloudburst and landslides during the 2023 monsoon . Before today, Rs 1782 crore has already been given as relief package for reconstruction of the damage caused by flood, landslide, cloudburst. And, today an additional amount of more than Rs 2006 crore is being given.

The Honorable National President said that in April this year also, the Union Home Minister had given Rs 136 crore separately for Himachal Pradesh. In October 2024 also, the Central Government had released Rs 189 crore of SDRF fund. Earlier, the Union Home Minister had given Rs 633 crore from NDRF to Himachal Pradesh for relief work in December 2023. Apart from this, Rs 180 crore was given from SDRF and Rs 400 crore from Central Road Infrastructure Fund in August 2023. Additional financial assistance of Rs 200 crore was also given to NDRF as advance assistance.

Mr Nadda said that I would like to say that the financial assistance and relief provided by the Modi government to the disaster victims has been a significant support in dealing with the crisis in Devbhoomi and providing relief to the disaster victims. The Modi government has always been ready for this. The respected Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi has stood with the people in every crisis and at the same time, has been committed to providing every possible help to Himachal Pradesh.  

The respected national president said that for this financial year, Rs 11806 crore has been allocated in the central budget for the works going on in Himachal Pradesh. Rs 10,681 crore has been given to Himachal Pradesh under the tax-revenue share, which is the states’ share in central taxes. Apart from this, Rs 13,285 crore has been given to Himachal Pradesh separately as aid grant . An amount of Rs 1050 crore has been separately approved for capital investment and industrial development and land reform digitization in Himachal Pradesh. Rs 2700 crore has been allocated to Himachal Pradesh under the railway budget.

Mr Nadda said that the limit of Kisan Credit Card has been increased from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh, benefiting 10 lakh farmers of Himachal Pradesh. Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, 12 thousand kilometers of roads have been built in Himachal Pradesh so far. 700 new settlements have been connected by roads. Himachal Pradesh has been given many projects like Atal Tunnel, AIIMS, Cancer Institute, which have brought attention to the health sector. All this shows how concerned and committed the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is for the development of Himachal Pradesh. I once again thank the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah from the bottom of my heart.
