Modi Government Demonetization and GST policy increased unemployment by 30 to 40 percent: Pratibha

State Congress President MP Pratibha Singh stated today that during the 9-year rule of the Narendra Modi government at the center, there has been no such achievement that she could celebrate.

In a Press statement issued here today, she said that the youth of the country are frustrated and disappointed due to rising inflation and unemployment. BJP should apologize to the country for its anti-people decisions.

Taking jib over the celebration of 9 years of the BJP government, Pratibha Singh said that due to the attack on the country’s economy by dictatorial decisions like demonetization and arbitrary implementation of GST, unemployment has increased by 30 to 40 percent in the country.

The figure for inflation has increased so much that it has become difficult for common and poor people to live their lives.

The promise made by the Prime Minister to provide employment to two crores of unemployed youth every year proved completely false.

A member of Parliament from Mandi said that this country would never forgive BJP for the way democracy has been violated during this 9-year rule of the BJP.

The country would always remember these nine years for the violation of freedom of expression in a democracy, the pressure of power on constitutional institutions, the suppression of the voice of opposition parties, and misusing investigative agencies.

Ms. Singh said that in these 9 years, the BJP government at the center has not only hollowed the country’s economy by selling those public sector undertakings in private hands but also millions of people working in these undertakings have lost their jobs.

Mr. Singh has rejected the claim of Union Minister Prahlad Patel in which she has said that Rohtang Tunnel and AIIMS in Bilaspur are the gifts of the Modi government.

BJP cannot mislead the people of the state,  She said that the Atal Tunnel in Rohtang is the gift of the Congress, while the then Virbhadra government had provided basic infrastructure for the AIIMS built-in Bilaspur, and also achieved the target of clean drinking water in every house in the state.
