MNREGA job card holders will get Rs 2 lakh each for disaster relief and land reforms : Anirudh

During his whirlwind tour of the Kasupanti constituency, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh on Thursday visited villages Dhali Bagda and Devthi of Peeran Panchayat of Junga tehsil and Thund and Chikhar of Satlai Panchayat and listened to the problems of the people.
Addressing a public meeting at Dhali Bagda, the minister said that to compensate for the damage caused to private land due to heavy rains and landslides, an amount of Rs 2 lakh each will be provided to all MNREGA job card holders under disaster relief so that the job card holders can repair the damage caused to the land.
The Minister informed that FRA approval has been received for the construction of 70 roads in the Kasumpti constituency, of which three roads are Shilli Berdhar, Peeran Devthi and Khaltu Trahai of Peeran Panchayat. FRA approval for more than 100 roads will be received by next year. He informed that water will be lifted from the Giri River for Khilser, Anji and Shilli of Peeran Panchayat under the Prime Minister’s Agricultural Irrigation Scheme, for which approval will be received by next March. He informed that more than Rs 50 lakh has been spent for the development of Peeran Panchayat during the tenure of the present government.
The minister announced a grant of ₹1.40 crore for the construction of a grand community hall in Peeran Panchayat. He directed that the building be constructed along the Peeran-Shilli middle road. He ordered the local school administration to submit a case to the SDM to declare the Primary School in Dhali unsafe. He also announced a donation of ₹300,000 for the Mahila Mandal in Shilli and ₹10,000 for school children from his discretionary fund.
The minister ordered Rs 50,000 for the purchase of utensils for the temple of Dev Junga in Devthi and construction of two tanks for lifting water for Devthi, on which an amount of about Rs 20 lakh will be spent.
Responding to public demand, the Minister directed the Animal Husbandry Department’s doctor to visit Thund three days a week. He also ordered the laying of water pipelines from the Pajouli Valley to Dhakhadukoti. He also directed the JSV to prepare estimates for the construction of a check dam and a small bridge in Thund Nala. He also listened to public concerns in Chikar and Satlai.
In Dhali, Principal Kiran Sharma, former Principal Atar Singh Thakur, and Deputy Principal Sandeep Mehta spoke. High School Principal Rakesh Verma welcomed the chief guest and presented his school-related demands.
On this occasion, the women of Matrishakti Mahila Mandal, Dhali Bagda, honored the minister with a shawl and cap. Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Chandrakanta, Balakram Nirmohi, Dayaram Verma, Narayan Singh Thakur, Baldev Puri, Amar Singh Thakur, Om Prakash, Poonam Thakur, Devendra Sharma, Ramanand Sharma, Sadanand Sharma, Indra Thakur, along with officials from various departments and Congress officials were present.
