Meritorious students were honored at the conclusion of the NSS camp in Dadgi
The NSS camp, which had been running for the past week at the Government Senior Secondary School, Dadgi, concluded on Friday. Diwan Verma, a renowned social worker from the Dadgi area, attended the event as the chief guest. The program was presided over by the school’s Principal, Rajendra Kumar Verma.
Welcoming the chief guest, the Principal said that the objective of the seven-day NSS camp is to develop selfless spirit of sacrifice, restraint, dedication and service among the volunteers. He said that this camp included yoga practice, morning walks, repair of roads of adopted villages Dadgi and Shavali, along with various sessions to create awareness on national interest and relevant topics. In the intellectual session, the volunteers collected a lot of information including drug eradication, law and traffic system, disaster management, wildlife conservation, first aid, activities of National Service Scheme, nutritious and balanced diet and various career options.
The volunteers captivated everyone with their parade and cultural programs. The patriotic songs and dances of Bhavna, Tarusha, Priya, and Bhumika enthralled the audience. A humorous play by Deepak and other volunteers enthralled the audience. Volunteers Dixit Thakur, Krish, Kishore, Chaman, Puneet, Yuvraj, Gaurav, Pankaj, Khushboo, Kritika, Bhumika Sharma, Neelam, Sania, Devendra Kumar, Ritika, Anuradha, and Sneha were honored for their outstanding work.
All the teachers and non-teaching staff including Kameshwar Sharma, Vijay Pant, Sanjeev Kumar, Pyaar Singh, Tilak Ranaut, Archana Sharma, Krishna Kumari, Jogendra Kumar Vijendra Kumar, Hetram, Mehar Sharma were present in the program.
