Mercury plummets under subzero in high altitude areas

Mercury plummet under subzero in many places in tribal district of Himachal Pradesh as minimum temperature was three to four degrees below normal on Wednesday. The Met Office said that Keylong district headquarter of Lahaul-Spiti was minis 6.9 degree Celsius and 5.9 degrees below normal, Kukumseri minus 6.5 degrees,Kalpa in Kinnuar minus 0.5 degree.  Tourist Manali 2, resort Kufri 3.8  Shimla 5.7 Solan 5, Mandi 6.7, Chamba 6, Dharamshala, 8.4,  and Kangra 9.5 and Dalhousie 6.8 and Una 9.6 . Met Office recorded one mm rain at Narkanda and 0.6 mm at Kufri. Fog affected  Bilaspur and  Sundernagar(Mandi) in the state.

Snowfall occurred in few places in high reaches and isolated places in rest of the state in the next 24.
