Mercury at all time high in Shimla on February 18: IMD

Mercury soar all time  high in the winter season on Saturday.  Meteorological office Shimla stated that  Febuary 18, 2023 was warmest ever as Minmum & Maximum  temperature of Shimla was 14.4 and 23.2 degree Celsius. Last time minimum temperature of Shimla was highest at 14.2 ° C on 23rd Feb 2015 and Maximum temperature 22.6 degrees on February 19, 2006.  Similarly it was highest Maximum temperature at Solan Saturday recorded  29.5 ° C on 18th Feb 2023 compared to 28.5 °C on 26th Feb 2021.

 Mercury in the day on Saturday also beat all previous records today  at Una( along Himachal -Panjab border )  at it sizzled 30.4 degrees. According to Weathermen earlier to this day temperature of Una was sofar highest 33.4 degrees on February 25, 2021.On Febuary 18 Maximum temperature of Shimla was 23.2 degrees and 11.4 degrees above normal, Bhuntar Airport of Kullu district was 29.7 and 12.1 degrees above normal, Kalpa in Kinnuar 17.6 and 11.6 above normal, Dharmshala 26.5 and 9.4 above normal, Nahan (Sirmour) 25.3, Keylong 7.2, Solan 29.2 and 9.7 above normal, Tourist resort Manali 20, Kangra 27, Mandi 29.2,  Bilaspur 28.6, Hamirpur 27.3, Chamba 27.3, Dalhousie 20.6, Jubberhatti Airport 25.3, Tourist resort Kufri 17.1, Narakanda 17.4 and Kasauli 22.8. On Sunday (today)Minimum temperature of Shimla at 14 degrees and 10.6 degrees above normal,  Bhuntar Airport 9 degree, Kalpa 3.6, Dharamshala 7.2 degrees, Una 10.7 degrees, Nahan 13.3 degrees,  Keylong 0.2 degrees, Solan 7.8 degrees, Manali 8 degrees, Kangra 12.8 degrees Mandi 8.4 degrees, Bilaspur 10 degrees, Hamirpur 11.2 degrees, Chamba 10.4 degrees, Dalhousie 15.2 degrees, Jubberhatti Airport 13 degrees and Kufri 10.8 degrees and Narakanda 8.
